Chapter 2

He loved to watch her. He loved to watch the way her hips swayed when she walked. The way her hands were in constant motion as she talked. The way she tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear. The way she smiled.

He closed his eyes, visualizing what it would feel like to reach out and touch her, smooth, caramel coloured skin beneath his fingers. He sucked in a ragged breath of air, running a thin hand through stringy, black, hair. He pushed his glasses closer to his face and opened his eyes.

Her saw her. And him.

'He's with her again', he thought. He crouched down further on the ground and watched, hidden from view behind the brush.

"Thank you for dinner Sonny," Alexis told him, stopping in front of the Harbour View Towers front entrance.

"If anything, I should be the one thanking you. You did keep me out of jail once again, today," Sonny said, smiling at her.

"Well, your welcome too. I guess were even for the day."

"Seriously Alexis, I really do appreciate all what you do for me. Not a lot of people would. I'm lucky to have you in my life, and not just as my lawyer, but as my friend too."

"Thank you Sonny. I feel the same way about you too," she told him quietly, giving him a smile.

"That's like music to my ears," he whispered.

Sonny gently reached over and slipped his hand into hers. She gave it a small squeeze as they smiled at one another. The love shining in their eyes was clear as glass to everyone but them. Sonny opened the door for Alexis and they walked towards the elevator, waiting for it to come down.

"Don't touch her," he whispered, venom dripping off his words. "You can't have what's already mine."

He watched them walk away, and stared. Cold, dark, empty, eyes stared until they disappeared from his sight. He stood abruptly and ran to his car. He quickly opened the door and turned on the ignition. Tires screeched, leaving a burnt tire scar on the road as he drove off into the night.

He got home, slamming the door. He rapidly fixed all five locks and threw his keys across the room.

"I hate you, I hate you, I hate you!" He screamed, swiping books, cups, papers, vases, anything his hands came in contact off his dresser and tables. He hurled his chairs across they room, tearing at his bed sheets.

"I'm gonna kill you Corinthos. Dont ever touch her again! She's not yours to have. She is MINE!!!! Ill kill you!" He screamed heaving another chair across the room into a wall. He watched where it hit and stopped dead in his tracks.

The chair had struck the wall where he kept his pictures of her. An article was ripped from the wall and fluttered to the ground.

"Oh, god, I'm sorry," he sobbed, running to the picture, picking it up. "I didn't mean to I swear," he pleaded.

He placed the torn picture across his heart and gingerly laid it on the bed, his breathing becoming ragged.

"I'm sorry. Please forgive me. It was he, that Corinthos. This is his entire fault. Yes, his fault. Im make him pay, dont worry, Ill make him pay, and then, and then..." he sighed.

He looked at the picture, smiling. He stroked it twice, brought it to his nose, and inhaled.  "So sweet," he barely whispered.

He closed his eyes and slept.

And the piped leaked.
